Civil War Encampment

See how Union and Confederate soldiers lived between battles.

Saturday, July 2nd – They will be holding a Fashion Show for girls and ladies in the afternoon (3pm -6pm) and a Civil War era dance in the late afternoon, (7pm – dark)

July 3rd & 4th – They will be firing cannons during the day on the 4th.

They will be selling wooden guns for the kids and offer other activities for the whole family.

Pioneer Village

See how folks roughed it during the early days of our country. Be careful!!! Some times these folks settled disputes with a gunfight!!!

In the village you will get the chance to shop for many hand crafted items and possibly learn how to throw a hatchet, churn some butter, or skin a ‘possum.

Ride the Train

The Fireworks train will be running all weekend and stopping at the Civil War Encampment behind the Library. Schedules are located at the Indiana Museum Transportation website.
